hey --- i have a question and need some help. i just started ww this week, and i've started out on the flex plan, but i find i eat everything on the core plan. my question is... what do people think of each program? if you do the core program, can you eat the veggies and fruit and lean meats as much as you want? if you do the flex plan, how do you stay in your point range when eating all the required nutritional things? thanks!!

i'm chris and i'm notoriously horrible at planning anything!  i've learned the hard way that the only way my family is going to eat healthy and well-balanced meals is if we plan them together, ahead of time, and shop for everything at once. i've been trying to do the actual meal planning after a good workout, when i'm still high off of healthiness.  :) 

we just got back from the grocery store and this weeks meals are as follows:

  • cous cous w/ stir fry vegetables (carrots, peppers, onions, sugar snap peas, sprouts) - CORE/3 pts per cup of cous cous
  • grilled steak salad (flank steak over lettuce, sliced red peppers, lf feta cheese, red onions w/ oil & vinegar) - CORE/unsure of pts
  • grilled chicken ceasar salad & french onion soup - CORE + 2 pts for croutons & parmesan cheese
  • steak fajitas (tortillas, flank steak grilled w/ lime, grilled red onions, peppers, portobello mushrooms, fresh pico de gallo, fresh avacado) - CORE
  • homemade pizza (whole wheat dough, no sauce, fresh mozzerella cheese, tomatoes, basil) 5 pts for mozzerella & dough
  • turkey/veggie chili (ground turkey, chili beans, zuccini, carrots, corn, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chili peppers) - CORE
